One of our flagship products is Liquid Harvest Mesotrione, a broadleaf herbicide that prevents photosynthesis in plants. This potent herbicide immediately absorbs and starts working upon application, although it may take 2-3 weeks for full weed death. Activation requires water; if no rainfall occurs within 10 days, 0.15 inches of water should be applied.

Liquid Harvest Mesotrione targets 46 broadleaf species and grasses, including Barnyard grass, Carpetweed, Chickweed, Clover, Crabgrass, and Dandelion. It is suitable for use on Kentucky Bluegrass, Centipede grass, Buffalo grass, Tall Fescue, Perennial Ryegrass, Fine Fescue, and St. Augustine Grass (sod only). However, it should be avoided on Bentgrass, Poa annua, kikuyugrass, zoysiagrass, seashore paspalum, and bermudagrass. For dormant bermudagrass, Mesotrione can be applied to eliminate weeds.

The product can be applied through spot application, covering 2,000 square feet, or pre- and post-emergent application, covering 1 acre. For maximum effectiveness, Liquid Harvest Mesotrione should be paired with Liquid Harvest Surfactant and Lazer Blue spray pattern indicator.

Mesotrione's mode of action is to inhibit photosynthesis in susceptible plants, distributing throughout the plant via roots and leaves. It is an effective herbicide, preventing crabgrass seed germination and eliminating broadleaf weeds on contact, while encouraging the growth of certain cool-season turfgrass in a weed-free environment.
